Born and raised in a severely underprivileged "family", Skripture acquired the strength, intelligence, and heart to survive. Through a love for poetry, which began at an early age, this gifted writer has evolved into a natural writing force of an amazing caliber. After realizing the road he was walking would end in disaster, he finally embraced this gift wholeheartedly and turned away from the lure of the streets, Skripture is now ready to voice his talent to the world.
He has successfully opening for superstars such as Lil' Jon and the Eastside Boyz, Pastor Troy, Young Jeezy, Ludacris, Too Short, T.I., T-Pain, and many others. He has performed at hundreds of events and venues that are far too many to name here. Because of his large following that is rapidly multiplying, Skripture was heavily courted by a number of major labels including Warner Brothers, Def Jam, and Universal Republic. Always one to buck the trend, he decided to sign with 4 ALARM MUSIC GROUP (4 ALARM INC.), Atlanta's newest Independent Major Label.
With the underground acclaimed release of "Yellow Tape Chronicles Mixtape" in Spring 2010 hosted by DJ T-Roc of the Hittmenn DJs, DJ Aaries of Hood Hard, AND DJ Southanbred, Skripture sent the warning shot heard around the world. He followed that up by raising the bar yet again in winter 2010 release "2012: The Mixtape" hosted by multi-award winning international DJ Ames to rave reviews and is currently on the verge of releasing "The Edge of Darkness Project" presented by Slip-n-Slide DJ Money Mike and Fleet DJs own award winner DJ Whut It Dew. The world hasn't seen an artist of this caliber and ambition in a long time. Don't believe? Just press play on any one of his records or videos.
"Whenever I leave rap, I want to be up there with the BEST that has ever spit a rhyme," claims Skripture. "And my only competition is me."
